Role Description

Finance Consultant/Director

Hours: as needed – 3 /4 per week anticipated

Role Overview

  1. Responsible with the Management Team for the management and administration of the organisation setting the strategic framework.
  1. With the Management Team, responsible for the financial health and viability of the organisation
  1. Collectively responsible for the efficient and effective achievement or implementation of policy objectives or decisions set.

Main Tasks

  1. Liaise with book keeper (PTH bookkeeping):-

Ensure timely receipt of Profit and Loss sheets

Liaise with accountants (Cunninghams, Lowestoft) as and when required.

  1. Banking :-
  2. Monitor “health” of finances
  3. Signatory for banking/Writing cheques (2 signatures required)
  4. Responsibility for change details of directors/signatories on banking site as needed.

3.      Ensure monthly payment of staff and invoices by BACS (completed by another staff member)

4.      Contact point for payroll (CBR Business Solutions)

5.      Liaison with Directors’ group

6.      Take part in business planning/ new contract planning /negotiation and renewal of contracts

Involvement in decision making around setting base line for low/reduced client fees

7.      With Training Director, Set and monitor training budgets/income vs expenditure.

8.      Monitor and contribute to discussions on expenditure on marketing and equipment purchases etc.
