Finance Consultant / Support
Hours: 3 / 4 weekly, average anticipated
Remuneration to be agreed
Catalyst, a Social Enterprise, is a small, friendly counselling service offering psychodynamic counselling and training to those in the Waveney and Gt Yarmouth area. Our offices are centrally based in Lowestoft with some staff parking availability.
Our mission statement/aim is to offer high quality, low cost, counselling to those in the locality who would otherwise be unable to access such a service. We are highly regarded by the local health services and our purchasers.
We have three main income streams:
1. We offer counselling to those in the local community who self-refer
2. We have a number of contracts, with local organisations, for Time limited counselling – typically 6 sessions.
3. We train counsellors to qualification level (4 year training)
We are looking for a person with experience in accounting and financial management, who will be able to support the Directors in managing and overseeing the financial wellbeing and governance of the organisation.
The position would especially suit someone who is retired or partially retired, and who is interested in finding a role which contributes to the local community.
Key responsibilities:
To work with the Directors/ Management Team to ensure the financial health and stability of the Centre.
To Liaise with the Book keeper (Xero used for accounting purposes) and Accountants (Cunninghams, Lowestoft)
